1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a username. When you use Bimsta, we store the drawings and BIM models you create. We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Bimsta service
  • Authenticate your identity and protect your account
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
  • Process payments via our payment processor (Stripe)
  • Improve and debug the product

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Your Drawing Data

The drawings and models you create belong to you. We store them securely to provide the service. We do not use your design data for training AI models or for any purpose other than delivering the service to you. You can export or delete your data at any time.

4. Analytics & Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to collect anonymised analytics data. Analytics help us understand how the product is used, measure user experience, and improve Bimsta over time. We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

We do not share raw analytics data with third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Bimsta:

  • Stripe, payment processing. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy for full details.
  • Anthropic (Claude), AI assistant features. When you use the AI assistant, your prompts and relevant drawing context are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Your prompts and designs are not used to train Anthropic's models. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for full details.
  • Google (Gemini), Some AI capabilities are powered by Google's Gemini API. Your prompts and designs are not used to train Google's models. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and drawings for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and drawings are removed within 30 days.

We also retain anonymised usage logs for up to 12 months. These are aggregated records of actions taken in the app (e.g. "a wall was placed", "a file was exported") with no personally identifiable information attached. They are used only for product analytics, understanding which features are used most, diagnosing errors, and improving performance.

7. Your Rights

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page if there are material changes.
